Denim Computers is helping the US Army with foundational research intended to bring multi touch surfaces to the military. Based on low cost FTIR (frustrated total internal reflection) technology, Denim built touch surfaces may some day be used as highly interactive user displays providing a new dimension to human collaboration.

Denim multi touch software uses computer vision to enable multiple users to interact with the surface at the same time providing an exciting computer enhanced workspace for mission planning and situational understanding.

Working to build a multi touch software development kit based on Microsoft .NET technologies, Denim will enable simpler development of touch aware applications while providing an execution environment for legacy software.
